England: Bath

This is my last post (finally!) on England! The last place that I visited was the city of Bath, which, of course, is known well known for two things: 1) the Roman baths, and 2) Jane Austen, the world's best author!

My one goal upon visiting Bath was to go to Jane Austen's museum and have tea- they have a tea room upstairs where you can order things such as "Tea with Mr. Darcy" or "Tea with the Austen Sisters"!!!!  Unfortunately, our tour guide basically lied to us and said it was too far away for us to visit, which it was not.  I guess I'll just have to go back to Bath again soon!

My first view of Bath!

The Roman Baths!!

All the buildings in Bath are made of a special type of stone called Bath stone, and the entire city is considered a UNESCO historical site, and none of the buildings are allowed to be altered whatsoever.  So, when you visit, you feel like you have legitimately stepped into colonial times, because everything is exactly as it was!

Before leaving, we stopped and got an English tea at the Mad Hatter's Tea Party (which was cute, but of course, not the same as Jane Austen's).

Overall, I had a great time in England! It is a very beautiful and diverse country, with friendly people.  I can't wait to visit again!  Stay tuned for more French adventures!!
